Philadelphia Phillies Travel Information

One of the oldest teams on the Senior Circuit of Major League Baseball, the Philadelphia Phillies play in the National League Eastern Division. The Phillies join the Montreal Expos, Florida Marlins, Atlanta Braves, and New York Mets in their division. While the Atlanta Braves have claimed 12 straight division titles, the Philadelphia Phillies have not been far behind. A surprise World Series appearance in 1993 brought Philadelphia back into the baseball spotlight versus the Toronto Blue Jays. Unfortunately for the Phils, Curt Schilling and company were not strong enough to overcome Joe Carter and the Blue Birds. Nonetheless the additions of powerhouse hitter Jim Thome and pitcher Eric Milton brought excitement to the Phils in 2004.

The Philadelphia Phillies are led my manager Larry Bowa. The former shortstop and third base coach represents the 49th manager of the Phillies and took over the club on November 1, 2000. Behind the guidance of Bowa the Fightin' Phillies won 252 games and Larry netted the 2001 NL Manager of the Year.
