Philadelphia Eagles Travel Information

The Philadelphia Eagles represent the NFC Eastern Division in the National Football League. Football in the City of Brotherly Love is about as popular as a Philly Cheese steak. Philadelphians take their grid iron seriously and root adamantly for their Eagles when anyone of the arch rival New York Giants, Washington Redskins, or Dallas Cowboys are in town. When attending a game expect a rowdy crowd of dedicated fans and watch out for the "Boo-Birds". The Boo-Birds come out when the Eagles get a bad call or even when the Eagles play poorly. Last seasons 19-0 shutout in the Lincoln Financial Field debut versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers resulted in a feast for the Boo-Birds.
With all that stated, the Philadelphia Eagles are poised for another playoff run under the premise that it is Super Bowl or Bust. Three straight NFC Championship Game losses has left Philadelphia and its fans in a state of shock and disappointment. To bolster the team, the Eagles brass signed free agent wide out Terrell Owens and defensive specialist Jevon Kearse. These two former Pro-Bowlers will give Pro-Bowl Quarterback Donovan McNabb many opportunities to drive down field during the 2004 season.
The Philadelphia Eagles are coached by Andy Reid. Reid, a former coach under Green Bay's Mike Holmgrem, coached the Birds to a 12-4 record and NFC Eastern division title in 2003. Reid is one of the most liked coaches in Philadelphia Eagles history since the likes of Buddy Ryan and Dick Vermeil were at the helm. If Reid can guide the team to the 2005 Superbowl, it will be Philadelphia's first appearance in the big game since the 1980 season heartbreaker versus the Oakland Raiders. Thus far the Eagles are 2-0 with victories over the New York Giants and Minnesota Vikings. Owner Jeffrey Lurie gave Andy Reid a four-year contract extension at the onset of the season.
